A warehouse lighting project at a company based in Gargrave North Yorkshire, that forms part of the pharmaceutical industry. The project involved completely rewiring and installing new lighting throughout the two different warehouses, whilst the company still continued to operate and produce their products
The project was completed at Scapa Healthcare, which is a company that is a trusted strategic partner of choice for the world’s leading companies in advanced wound care, consumer wellness and medical device fixation. Working alongside DSI & MBC Building Contractors, we worked together in designing and install a new lighting layout, suitable to meet the lighting requirements for this specific type of warehouse.
We started off the design phase by submitting the drawings to a reputable lighting company ‘Ansel Lighting’ who put together a lighting design purposely built to suit the client
Warehouse one involved a complete stripping out of all old fittings and cables, with a complete rewire using existing containments to help save on costs. The fittings installed were ceiling grid panels with an anti-glare look which gave a nice soft touch on the eye, whilst still dispersing a sufficient amount of light.
Warehouse two was still fully operational due to the high demand of their products and the cost it would incur for a complete shutdown. This part of the project required a lot more communication between the client and contractors on site. After several discussions and effective planning, we managed to work alongside Scapa Healthcare, and installed new containment, cables and lighting to the same high standards we always do.
Overall, the clients feedback was extremely positive regarding the service’s Magma Electrical provided along with also being impressed of how the project was completed well ahead of schedule.
